SEASON LENGTH

Canada: October - March
USA: November - April

GAMES

13 games minimum guaranteed (12 regular season + 1-4 playoff games).

GAME FORMAT

12-15-15 or 15-15-15 run time periods (based on city). All games with 2 Certified Officials. Shootout if tied.

PLAYOFFS

Single Elimination Bracket. 1 playoff game is guaranteed.

ARENA

City of Thunder Bay Arena's, Fort Williams. Additional arena's may be used on an as-needed basis.

GAME DAYS 

& TIMES

Game Days: LUG typically plays Sun-Wed nights. Game times may vary week to week. Every effort will be made to create consistency and to publish schedules in advance to provide everyone with schedule visibility. 
Game Times: Sundays afternoons+, weekdays 7 pm+.

*To get a sense of how the schedule can look for your division check out last seasons schedule in your city. Additional days or times may be used based on arena availability and league requirements.

TEAM SIZE

15 players per team minimum. (14F + 1G). Teams can have more than 15 players. All will receive jerseys (if registered before the extra jersey deadline).

DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIPS

Win your division to qualify for the WAG CUP Regional Championship Tournament. Compete against winners from 50+ cities for the title of LUG Champions and earn the Ultimate WAG Cup Championship Rings.

NON PLAYING DATES

The LUG Hockey season tracks the academic calendar. This means we have no games over Final Exams, Holiday Breaks, Reading Week, Spring Break or other key dates you wouldn't normally want to play (such as the Super Bowl, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day). Leagues that play on Sunday's can play on Sunday evenings at the conclusion of long weekends. See Complete List.

CODE OF CONDUCT

We have a zero tolerance policy for violations of our code of conduct. Players and/or teams may be removed from the league for actions detrimental to the league including abusive or racism language, damaging the facility, theft, alcohol or drugs, among others. 

PAYMENT TYPE

This is your personal registration fee. Each team is responsible for a minimum of 15 player fees.
