WAG CUP REGISTRATION
- All teams will be sent a WAG CUP Interest form to indicate if their team would be interested in participating in the WAG Cup should they be win their division or offered a spot.Â
PLAYOFFS & THE NO RINGER POLICY
LUG has a strict no ringer policy for the playoffs. Bringing a ringer or non-registered player to your game results in an automatic forfeit for your team. Every year we have teams try to sneak a player on and end up losing the game to a default do to a ringer so please do not bring any non-registered players onto the ice!
PLAYOFF ELIGIBILITY
- Teams must be 100% paid for their season to play in the playoffs. If you're uncertain if your team is eligible, email hello@lugsports.comÂ
- Only registered players on a 2023-24 LUG Hockey Roster are eligible for playoffs. No other players will be permitted to play.
- No substitute players are permitted unless a goalie is needed. The team is responsible for communicating this beforehand and the goalie has to be an approved sub.
- Player ID checks are permitted. Any player, referee or LUG Staff is eligible to request an ID check. All players participating in the playoffs must be carrying a valid ID to verify against the roster if an ID check is requested.
- Teams can request an ID check of a player before the game or have 10 minutes after a game to request an ID check. After this, the score is final.Â
- All players must submit an ID when requested. The ID match their person and be a registered player on the website. If a player fails an ID check, the game is forfeited.Â
- If a player is requested for an ID check but leaves the arena, the game is forfeited.Â
NOTES
- LUG will do everything we can to ensure that these policies are enforced and that no ineligible players are part of the game, however, we do not have facial recognition technology and sometimes mistakes can happen.Â
- All decisions will be made by the LUG head office team and are final.
- For any questions on this, email hello@lugsports.com
