Job Opportunities - LUG Sports - Venue Partnerships Representative

JOIN OUR TEAM: VENUE PARTNERSHIPS REPRESENTATIVE

Keep the Dream Alive. It’s a simple statement that means so much to thousands of LUG Athletes playing in our recreational sports leagues across North America. LUG started as a way for young adults to keep playing the sport they loved in recreational and competitive settings long after minor sports programming ended. From our original roots as a small 6 team hockey league, we have grown into one of the largest adult sports leagues with over 25,000 players across 60+ cities.

With a focus on creating a strong, competitive, inclusive community, and delivering exceptional experiences both on and off the field of play, LUG is the ticket that students, adults, and alumni need for all of their sport and social needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a hungry, organized, and resourceful Venue Partnerships Representative to help us secure the best sports facilities (inventory) across North America. This role sits at the intersection of sales and operations, working closely with both teams to source and lock in rinks, courts, fields, and more. Whether it’s finding prime-time ice in Winnipeg or turf in Boston, you’ll help make our leagues possible by building relationships, negotiating rates, and managing the full pipeline of facility outreach.

We want the experience for our players to be Professional grade, and that means playing at the same facilities as the Pros—because how cool would it be to play softball at Fenway?

This is a fast-moving, high-impact, commissioned role where your ability to keep deals organized and moving forward will directly affect our success. You’ll be helping to build the backbone of every league we run. The role is ideal for someone eager to grow alongside the business and carve out a long-term path at LUG.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source and secure high-quality sports facilities (ice rinks, fields, courts, etc.) for leagues across North America.
  • Maintain and manage a pipeline of outreach to facilities using our CRM.
  • Understand where leagues are projected to run and align efforts to secure facilities that support growth targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with facility managers and decision-makers.
  • Work cross-functionally with the sales and operations teams to ensure facility availability matches player demand and scheduling needs.
  • Track, update, and report on the status of facility deals regularly to the leadership team.
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts to secure the best possible locations and time slots.
  • Proactively follow up with facilities and internal stakeholders to ensure deals close on time.
  • Identify and solve roadblocks that could delay booking or impact quality of experience.
  • Help define and refine best practices for facility outreach and management.

ABOUT YOU

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in sales, operations, or account management (co-op or internship experience counts).
  • A student or recent graduate in Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • Exceptionally organized, with a strong sense of ownership over your work.
  • You’re someone with a growth mindset—excited to take initiative, improve over time, and level up as the company grows.
  • Driven and resourceful—someone who will find a way, not wait to be told how.
  • Excellent communicator who can build rapport quickly and keep deals moving.
  • Comfortable managing a CRM and juggling multiple priorities at once.
  • Loves sports and wants to be part of a team making them more accessible and fun.
  • Confident in working independently, problem-solving on the fly, and holding others accountable to timelines.
  • You’re not just looking for your next role, you’re looking to be part of a winning team that’s building something special and unique.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • We’re a remote-first team and output is more important than facetime, so where you choose to work is up to you—as long as you have internet access, you can work from wherever helps make you successful, and your family happy.
  • League games typically take place on evenings and weekends. This is not your standard 9-5. Working day requirements may shift based on leagues running and the season.

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

  • Competitive salary and aggressive bonus based on company + personal performance
  • Unlimited Time Off
  • 3-4 weeks of additional mandatory company time off (~3 weeks in December and 1 week in April)
  • 4 Day Long Weekends in the Summer
  • 100% company paid comprehensive benefits package for all your health needs
