LUG started as a way for young adults to keep playing the sport they loved in recreational and competitive settings long after minor sports programming ended. From our original roots as a small 6 team hockey league, we have grown into one of the largest adult sports leagues with over 20,000 players across 50+ cities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
As a Marketing Coordinator: Contract (January-April) for LUG Sports Group, you'll play a vital role in supporting brand development and social media marketing efforts. You'll assist in content creation and help craft engaging stories that resonate with our audience. Working alongside the Marketing team, you’ll contribute to the execution of our league roadmap and go-to-market strategy, ensuring a consistent voice and message across various media channels.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, you will assist in crafting and sharing our brand story across various channels to support alway on initiatives, product launches and enhance our community engagement across North America. You'll help localize our creative campaigns and contribute to our overall social media strategy.
You'll receive hands-on learning, mentorship and support to help you grow in this exciting role. You’ll gain exposure to all areas of marketing, (category management, partnerships, media, events, email etc.) while collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Field teams to drive sales growth and strengthen our brand presence.
This position is a 4 month contract position from January to April 2025.
HOW YOU'll DO IT:
- Assist with storytelling and brand development across all social media and marketing channels.
- Execute daily posting and moderating for all social media platforms (Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat etc.)
- Develop/create social media content and provide input to the marketing calendar to drive profitability and community development.
- Assist with multi-channel marketing plans and assets for new product launches.
- Work with content creators/photographers/commissioners to receive image,
graphics, video, merch and packaging assets
Analyze and present results that track performance, identify trends, opportunities, and recommendations to improve programs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Are enrolled in college/university or a recent graduate with a degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, and/or similar degrees.
- Experience playing in a LUG Sports league is an asset.
- Experience using Canva, CapCut or any other content editing platforms (fast-learner)
Is social media savvy - lives and breathes everything TikTok & Instagram.
Is not afraid to try new things, new trends, be in front of the camera and take risks.
Passionate about sports marketing.
Is dynamic, energetic, and results-driven.
Works well in a fast-paced environment, and is able to take initiative/action in a remote-based setting
Strong communication skills: this person can present information (both written and oral) clearly and concisely.
Analytical skills: Proven expertise in problem solving and multiple project management. Able to summarize data, provide insightful recommendations, and communicate with impact.
